Chapter 11

This chapter helped me realize that I need to include more ways to appeal to my audience’s senses. As, an educator I find it difficult to include food and smells into my lessons because of all the nutritional guidelines we have to follow. I find that it sounds great to incorporate smells and taste in the classroom and presentations but finding the resources can be tuff. I like the idea of using oranges to teach fractions, so I went ahead and did that lesson with my 4th graders. They loved it. One of my favorite presenters is Dr. Diana Ramirez, I show up to her presentations thirty minutes early just to get a good seat. When you walk into her presentations you are welcomed with the smell of fresh coffee and chocolates and mints on every table. She tells the best stories and does not bore you to death with power points. I want to be just like her.
